Windmill Hill, Avebury. Wiltshire.
Reported October 14 2012 (71)

The Windmill Hill farmer (R Butler) is seriously upset about this circle as it has caused “major damage to a large part of a ‘special wildlife conservation area’ project”, he said. As Butler is my near neighbour I sought his permission to enter the circle to investigate its physical attributes – but was denied permission as he is not allowing anyone to enter the field as more damage will be caused to the conservation project, therefore no ground report or close photography is viable here.

A note from the farmer..

I am writing with reference to the crop formation which appeared yesterday morning on our land at Avebury Trusloe and has subsequently appeared on your website. As the owners of the field we are asking if you could put a message on your website asking people NOT to enter the field and crop formation. This area has been planted as a conservation area and planted with a wild bird mixture. The area is designed to provide winter feed to wildlife and birds and also to provide a safe habitat for ground nesting birds. A lot of time and money has been spent siting this particular plot and establishing it for the benefit of wild birds, insects and farmland animals. Visitors to the formation are now disturbing the birds who will not come back to the plot, they are trampling down the nesting areas and feed sources and all this work is now being undone. People entering the field have not been given permission and signs have been erected stating there is ‘no entry’ but they are being ignored. Indeed some people have become rather aggressive and abusive when asked to leave the field. We ask that everyone is welcome to enjoy the aerial pictures of the formation on the internet, but please do not enter the field.
Many thanks

Robin and Ben Butler Land owners

The parallel lines that show within the laid crop are a clear indication of a systematic mechanical construction process that is fully consistent with known and well understood effects left on human made circles – rather than a single seamless process that one would expect from a rapid single entity delivery system.

After spending a couple hours at the Hackpen site (on day one) it was pretty obvious that the physical evidence left on the ground clearly point to its origin as being very physical and very human in nature. The extensive pattern of crushing and creasing damage on the laid mature wheat plants within this circle was noted as being fully consistent with heavy mechanical processes employed by human crop-crunching circle-fakers in the creation of their “art”.

Reported August 20 2012 (60)

This crop-pattern was found by the farmer at around 6am on August 20. The farmer reported to us that when he discovered the circle a large 4 X 4 vehicle was parked close by the field – which turned out to be the van owned by a couple of well understood circle fakers / cereal vandals. The same vehicle was also photographed at around 9am next to the new circle of August 19.. At around 7am circle faker M Williams was filmed flying his micro-light aircraft over the circle – presumably to photograph the “mysterious” event for his pals over at the ccc website. On the ground the circle presented as crude and fully consistent with a (rushed) home made event. The farmer does not want any further visitors in this field. A close look at the ground images above shows what happens when people push down mature wheat with bits
of wood.

Many thanks to the farmer for allowing us access to the vandalised patch on his land.

The people with the vehicle at the top left of the aerial image are known locally as amateur circle hoaxers / cereal vandals. Image taken at 9am on day one.Sue, Andrew and Mike (SAM) then decided to hang out at their crude nights work to see visitors ‘experience’ the magic of vandalized wheat. Hoaxers will often hang around after the event as they seem to get some sort of (devient, imo) thrill from interacting with people that believe their criminal act is in some way a ‘spiritual’ event.. One of the people this tro interacted with had his recorder rolling… very telling!

As far as I know this one has not been reported and think is worth an aerial shot for sure, as it has many textures. I think seven triangles in a row consisting of two standing crop, two with thin diagonal rows of flattened crop, two with thin criss-crosses of flattened crop, and one flattened crop. Harvesting is happening in the area as we speak!

Best regards,”

The farmer of this wheat-field has confirmed that this circle pattern was created by a team of people that had paid him for the use of the field. The effect left on the ground, at around 9:00 am on day one, showed extensive mechanical damage and mud smearing throughout. We recommend that all interested parties visit and examine this event – to gain an understanding of the mechanics of an, in this case, very average home-made circle event.

Some extremely interesting physical effects (photos below) were noted within the laid wheat plants in this circle. The delivery system employed in the creation of this circle remains a mystery.

This absurdity was produced by Mike/Sue, Andrew Pyrka – and a few Barge Inn cc hoaxer types, The M/S element had actually painted the same image on their vehicle months earlier. After vandalizing the farmers property the hoaxers actually hung around the crime-scene the following morning – as if they were proud of their scrawl. Incredible….. embarrassing! The hoaxers actually seemed to be getting some sort of (deviant) thrill out of watching and interacting with tourists visiting their  vandalism, the tourists believing that they were visiting a ‘real’ crop circle.

Reported June 26 2012 (18)

This circle apparently appeared within a 135 minute window of (daylight) opportunity. The field was flown over in the early morning of June 26 as part of a regular morning reconnaissance of the local region… At that time the circle was not visible in the field from the aircraft.

All cc recon flights are video recorded as a matter of course.

The ‘Wiltshire Microlight Centre’ lies just half a mile or so from the site of this circle event. The pilots at this airstrip took six flights during the morning of the 26th, starting around 8:00 am. Even though each take-off and landing provided a near perfect view of the area where the circle was later found, no one aboard these fights spotted any new crop circle until on the return leg of a half hour recon flight, at 11:40 am, the circle was spotted from a landing aircraft by a dutch tourist who had been scouring the local landscape for new crop circles. All earlier flights had also been laden with circle-hunters.

Given the above facts -when coupled with significant physical anomalies found and recorded within the laid wheat plants it is my considered opinion at this time that this crop circle event has been created by a non-physical delivery system – Further investigations pending.

Circle hoaxers (SAM) claim that this circle was physically created by people on June 20 – Which is interesting when considering the above.
